Reflexology for Swollen Glands

Swollen glands can be extremely painful and occur for any number of reasons.

Mild swelling that is uncommon can be relieved by some reflexology over the gland areas on the feet and by also doing the Reflexology Technique for Headaches.

For all of the steps below, do all of the steps on the right foot, and then do all of the steps to the left foot. This works just as well for do it yourself reflexology as having someone else do it.

Also have a big glass of water, to ensure the reflexology is effective and to help the bodies cells operate best as possible.

Before doing reflexology over the gland areas on the feet, the first step is to is rotate the toes.

Hold the toe firmly at the base of the toe, gently move in circular motions so that you are rotating and stretching the base joint that attaches the toe to the footNext hold the toe just above the second joint and again move the joint in a large circular motionLastly rotate the very top joint on the toe (the big toe only has two joints)Next use the Thumb Walking Technique (use Foot Reflexology techniques for swollen glands) over the toes, especially the big toe.

Thumb walk up the toes covering the entire thing, begin with the big toe on the right foot, continuing with the toe next to it and so on until all toes are done.

Finally Thumb Walk the gland area under the big toes. See the reflexology diagram below for the exact spot.

Thumb walk up, then down, and do this for several minutes.

As an extra thing it is recommended to have a boiled lolly of throat soother or some sort. A boiled lolly is great as the sugar will help relax the throat and vocal chords.
